Julie and Julia has inspired my daughter and me. We came home after the movie and she sauted some onions with butter and marsala wine. Just ate it with a spoon. Of course she felt sick later, so we both took a Tums and I did not wake up with heartburn. Yay.

This morning, no coffee beans in the house! I had to drag my butt over to Sister Sledge and get some coffee on a dark and rainy morning. Actually got darker after I got up. Anyway, I was able to get my free cup of coffee because with my frequent user card. Score!

Got home and fried up some over easy eggs, and put some leftover buttermilk pancakes in the toaster. I'm extremely disapointed that they are so delicious leftover. It might mean that I will make these things weekly and have them every morning. Oh no.

Later it's on to the Uptown Art Fair. We walked around a little while last night before dinner at Barbette. That's worth it's own blog. I ordered the oysters (thinking I was ordering mussels) and they were mind boggling. I put a little horseradish along with what I think was red wine vinegar, only sweeter, and oh...my...goodness...the flavor was explosive in my mouth! YUM.

The daughter ordered the pomme fritte with aioli, and a rice noodle salad with peanut sauce and a poached egg on top. YUM YUM!

What will the art fair bring today? I know it will not be the $6 cheese curds!
